Nathan
Watkins, the lead singer of “Last Minute" is no stranger to the music scene.
He had his beginnings on local stages performing as early as 5 years old
having lead musical roles in over 13 plays. Nathan has performed in his
school talent shows each year since he was 8 and enjoys any opportunity to
sing. Nathan was nominated for Tennessee Freshman Honor’s Choir and sings
in his local High School Chorus. Nathan also served as lead singer for his
local youth praise band for 3 years. He has also sung at South Jackson
Civic Center in South Jackson Goes Country for 3 years and was the lead singer
for “The Electric Bones” for one year before joining “Last Minute.” Music
is just a part of who he is and music is always being played in his home or
vocally as he sings all of the time!

Michael
Spencer, the rhythm guitarist for “Last Minute”, has been playing guitar for
about four years. Music is a big part of his life, starting with playing
clarinet and saxophone in the school band and singing when he was in Middle
School. He got his first interest for playing guitar after playing the game
“Guitar Hero” when he was about 10 years old. But after getting a guitar for
Christmas he never learned to play it until a year later an old friend who
played guitar inspired him to try to play again. He hasn't put down the guitar
ever since. Now he takes guitar lessons at The Family Music Center. He started
to play around on the piano at 13 and is currently trying to teach himself to
play piano and the ukulele. He loves to play everything from blues, jazz, classic
rock, and modern rock music.

Hayden
West, the lead guitarist for “Last Minute,” has also been playing music for
years. He received his first guitar at age 10 and never really put it down
since. He has never taken a lesson, and is completely self-taught. He started
off with simple riffs from songs such as “Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple.
His dad was one of his biggest influences which explains his love for classic
rock. He’s always wanted to be in a band instead of just playing by himself, so
this is very exciting for him to show off all the hard work he’s put in over
the past few years. Some of his favorite artists are “ACDC,” “Greenday,”and
“The Eagles.” Being the first band that he has ever been a part of, he is ready
to perform on stage with some of his best friends.

Jamie
Walker, the bass player for “Last Minute”, has been playing music since the age
of 12; however, the first instrument he learned to play was the electric
guitar. He actually didn’t pick up a bass guitar until he was about 15
years old. The most help he had in learning to play bass guitar was his
bass lessons he took at the Family Music Center. He instantly fell in
love with bass guitar and hasn’t really quit playing since and has no future
plans to stop playing. One of his favorite types of music to play is
alternative rock, but he likes to play anything from classic rock to punk to
modern rock. Music is a huge part of his life and he plans to always play
music.

Andrew
Frideczky, the percussionist for the band, has been drumming for five years.
He first picked up a pair of drumsticks around the age of ten when he
played the video game “Rock Band”. He became interested in playing an actual
drum set at the age of eleven, which is when he began taking drum lessons in
Tullahoma, Tennessee from Curtis Cooley. He was under the direction of Stacey
Chandler in Middle School Band from sixth to eighth grade, and began taking
lessons from Todd McKibben at the age of twelve. He is now under the
instruction of Mondale Rogers and Erik Peterson in High School Band.
